Nairobi, 7 feb. - Nel terzo trimestre del 2010, in coincidenza con un deciso taglio dei prezzi, gli abbonamenti alla telefonia mobile nel Kenya sono balzati a quota 22 milioni, il 9,5 per cento rispetto al trimestre precedente.
Come in tutti i Paesi del continente, anche in Kenya il mercato delle telecomunicazioni cresce da anni in modo costante, soprattutto per quanto riguarda i cellulari, i cui abbonamenti sono triplicati nell'ultimo quinquennio. La nazionale Commissione per le Comunicazioni ha rilevato che la crescita registrata nel terzo trimestre e' la piu' alta del 2010. Tra gli operatori, Safaricom mantiene la posizione di comando con il 75,9 per cento del mercato, seguita da Airtel (13,5), e Orange (4).. Fonte:AGIAFRO
